Hey guys, read the article carefully and the one reported from WSJ. The deal is to set to 'default' the search engine to which ever company wins the search deal and therefore share a chunk of the revenue with Verizon. That means you can choose other search engines to you preference. The other search engines are just not set to default. I use Google, not low quality garbage like Microsoft search. If the default were not set to Google I would simply switch it to Google. I imagine many other will do the same. Also the search engine which is NOT set to Verizon's default would not have to share such a steep piece of the ad revenue pie with Verizon.
Dear Steve Ballmer and Microsoft,
Please stop peddling your low quality junk search engine product to the masses for the good of humanity and intelligence and force feeding this trash down our throats. Nobody wants it. Nobody will ever want it.
Simpleinstrument, if your so concerned about privacy you should RIP UP ALL YOUR CREDIT CARDS NOW because each time you use them your purchases, your location and what time you bought whatever you are buying are being tracked. STOP GOING TO THE STORES, they have cameras. DON'T USE THE INTERNET, your ip address is being tracked with every single website you go to. DON'T USE CELL PHONES, they are all trackable. Go ahead, be my guest. I for one will continue to use credit cards, go to the stores, use the internet, and make calls on my cell phones. If you don't give all these up right now then your conerns about privacy are null and void, so stop complaining. Otherwise go live deep in the jungles of Haokawaka Azura, although there may be technologies that may track you there as well.
Holding true to the very explicitly spelled out DMCA which is an accommodation for the still fairly nascent but inevitable digital era reality of the 21st century the Veoh favorable court ruling should set a stern precedence of tolerance for all future similar court rulings including the very high profile case of Viacom vs. Google/YouTube.
GO SEE THE DARK KNIGHT NOW! Great movie!
Another Google challenger. Oh jeez...get in line. I guess it wouldn't be as an effective headline or get top fold billing if it said "Cuil the Ask Jeeves killer". That's all these things are about. Attention. Mention that you are a challenger to Google and get instantly atop the headlines.
