Who the F is Paulson to be telling the Chinese what to do? Buddy, your stewardship of the American financial system leaves A LOT to be desired.
More like some large squid that can just reach out an touch you at will.. sending you into the deep, quietly and unconscious.
Ah, the days of EASY credit, when money was virtually free. Always interesting to look back and see how companies decided to deploy this bonus opportunity from the Fed. Was it invested wisely or foolishly?

Dryheaves, in a growing bear market all stock buybacks are just cash throwaways... Stock being a deprecating asset. Keep the cash and survive the company through the downturn. The stock will be cheap enough when the bottom has arrived.
... Scratching my head wondering if this is a result of a stock buy-back program... Never a good idea. There are always better ways of enhancing shareholder value other than buying ones own stock. Idea: Pay down debt! Not that this is specific to Panasonic in anyway. I've spent a lot of money on their gear over the years and never, never have been disappointed by any of my 'Panny' purchases.
