Slovak finmin, cbank: EU fcasts open door for euro

and central bank board member Peter Sevcovic said on Monday.
                                
 "The European Commission forecasts confirm we are able to
meet the inflation criterion in a sustainable way," Pociatek
told reporters, referring a key area of concern from the
Commission's over Slovakia's euro zone entry bid.
                                
 The Commission, the EU's executive arm, forecast that Slovak
inflation would peak in the third quarter next year and fall in
2009, boding well for the EU newcomer's euro zone entry bid.
